Space Research Conference

Overview

The Space Research Conference 2024 is a pioneering gathering aimed at raising awareness and directing research efforts in accordance with the priorities of the space sector in the UAE, exchanging knowledge and collaboration among researchers, scientists, and specialists in this field, as well as enhancing partnerships to achieve common research goals and objectives.

The conference will provide a platform for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) students, researchers, scientific experts, technicians, and industry leaders to showcase the latest research and technological innovations, discuss new developments, and explore future prospects in various fields of space science and technology.

This is your unique opportunity to engage, exchange ideas, and participate in scientific and professional development.

Research Domains

Submitted abstracts should fit into one of the following Space Science and Technology Policy Domain categories:

Satellite Communication
Earth Observation
Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT)
Access to Space and Sustainability
Space Exploration
Space Situational Awareness

Eligibility

Participation is open for UAE nationals and residents who are:

University STEM Students:
- Undergrad
- Postgrads
Researchers and experts in the field of space science and technology:
- Abstracts should present original scientific studies and research. Plagiarism is prohibited.
- Your abstract should consist of a title, authors list and the abstract text that is limited to 500 words.
- Abstracts can be submitted by more than one co-author.

Review Process

All submitted abstracts will go through a peer-review process carried out by a committee.
Authors of the accepted abstracts will be notified to submit a manuscript and an oral presentation at the Space Research Conference.
Instructions on subsequent steps, submission, and presentation dates will be communicated to the authors of accepted abstracts

Awarding

Three winners will be recognized for their outstanding contributions through their papers
Obtaining a research grant
Submitted papers will be featured on the UAE Space Agency's Space Research Platform, bolstering advancements in space research endeavors.

Timeline

Paper and Final presentation submission: 20 September 2024
Conference date: 1st week of October 2024
