The UAE Space Agency showcased industry opportunities and strategic vision for the space sector at the annual BETT Educational Training and Technology Show held in London, United Kingdom from the 24-27 January. The Agency's participation in the education and technology oriented show was aimed at shedding light on the UAE space sector’s achievements and future developments, as well as highlighting the ongoing educational initiatives launched in collaboration with various local and international educational organisations.
The Agency's pavilion proved to be a compelling stop and witnessed a number of distinguished visitors including His Excellency Hussain Ibrahim Al Hammadi, UAE Minister of Education; His Excellency Sulaiman Al Mazroui, UAE Ambassador to the UK and His Excellency Major General Ahmed Naser Al Raisi, General Inspector at the Ministry of Interior.
The Agency's stand welcomed a number of delegations from several countries, including a delegation from the Saudi Ministry of Education and a delegation from Kuwait, further boosting partnerships within the MENA space sector.
Space enthusiasts at the stand were taken on an educational journey around the pavilion, engaging visitors with the Agency’s ongoing and future projects, such as the Hope Probe and the UAE Astronaut Program. They were also briefed on the UAE’s space policy, regulations and laws of the national space sector, in addition to the various educational and technological programmes currently under the Agency’s wing.
For his part, HE Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Ahbabi, Director General of the UAE Space Agency, said: “BETT is an exceptional educational and technologically-driven show, which provided us with a platform to educate the world about our national space programme, its achievements, future projects and our ambitions in scientific exploration.”

The stand also had visits from His Excellency Marwan Al Sawaleh, Undersecretary for Academic Affairs at the Ministry of Education; His Excellency Abdulrahman Al Awar, Chancellor of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University; His Excellency Abdullatif Al Shamsi, Vice Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology; His Excellency Abdul Rahman Al Hammadi, Undersecretary for Support Services at the Ministry of Education; and Her Excellency Fawzia Gharib, Assistant Undersecretary for the School Operations Sector at the Ministry of Education.
The BETT show in London showcases the latest technologies in the education sector and witnesses attendance by leaders, practitioners, and influential figures in the field of education from around the world, who share their expertise and ideas on innovation, modern technology and educational development.
