The UAE Space Agency celebrated the third UAE Flag Day following the invitation extended by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to celebrate the commemoration of the day His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan assumed his position as President of the UAE by raising the UAE flag on in every home, institution and street.
The Agency’s staff joined other government and private institutions in the country in celebrating this event with a special ceremony held at the Agency’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The ceremony was led by the Chairman HE Dr. Khalifa Al Rumaithi, Director General HE Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Ahbabi.
HE Dr. Al Rumaithi said that Flag Day is a national celebration that represents our dedication to serve our nation and its wise leadership, as well our willingness to defend its pride. He added that celebrating the accession anniversary of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the presidency of the country makes us proud of leader of the UAE and his efforts to provide everyone with a dignified and rewarding life.
HE Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Ahbabi said the invitation from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has motivated every citizen and resident of the UAE to work harder so as to ensure that they help the UAE reach even greater heights and follow in the footsteps of its esteemed leadership.
