His Excellency Yousuf Hamad Al Shaibani brings over 25 years of experience in the government sector to his role as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Dubai Electronic Security Center (DESC). A founding member of both DESC and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), HE Al Shaibani has held senior positions and served on the Boards of Directors of both organizations.
His leadership has been instrumental in DESC's success. Under his guidance, the development team has created innovative platforms and software that significantly enhance Dubai's cyber readiness, paving the way for a more secure and technologically advanced city.
HE Al Shaibani played a key role in launching the Emirates Mars Mission and sending the first Emirati astronaut to space. His dedication to pushing the boundaries of human exploration and scientific discovery has inspired many and opened new possibilities for future space research.
Beyond DESC and MBRSC, HE Al Shaibani also serves on the Boards of the UAE Cyber Security Council and the UAE Space Agency.HE Al Shaibani graduated from Etisalat University College (now known as Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research - KUSTAR) in Sharjah in 1995. He furthered his education by earning a master’s degree in Microelectronics Systems Design from Central England University (now known as Birmingham City University) in the UK in 1997.
