International cooperation agreements

The UAE Space Agency believes in the importance of international cooperation in the field of space and all areas that can serve the interests of communities and humans.

As a result, the UAE is keen to adopt a large number of international treaties and conventions that will strengthen international cooperation in the field of space.

The Agency is developing partnerships and cooperation strategies with a number of leading institutions, including world class scientific and research centres. The aim of these partnerships is to strengthen the national expertise, capacity and knowledge transfer within this vital sector.

The UAE Space Agency will continue to search for possibilities of implementing joint space projects and cooperating with educational and training programs for the development of capabilities within the space industry.

Over the past few decades, the UAE has hosted numerous conferences and forums of global importance for the space and satellite sector. These include events such as CABSAT, Milsatcom and the Global Space & Satellite Forum.

The UAE intends to continue hosting important global conferences including the World Forum for Social and Economic Sustainable Development in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs and ICAO.
